Diploma in Architecture from Manchester College of Art & Design, BA Hons Degree (Open University), MSc Degree in Construction Mangement from the University of Bath. DESIGN POLICY SUMMARY STATEMENT. In compliance with the Architects Act 1997: Fully indemnified, experienced architect able to provide a Quality Service. Interested in reconciling the clients particular needs and other stakeholders in the environment. Working Methods: A formal "Memorandum of Agreement" or for small works a "Letter of Appointmrent" with the architect and client for specified services described in a Plan of Work.
Contract held under constant review. A Project Execution Plan (PEP) detailing Timescale, Cost and Quality for the project is monitored through to completion. Computer Aided Design (CAD). AutoCAD 2011 is used in association with Microsoft Office & Works for general administrative duties. Other licenced programmes specific to the UK Construction Industry are available to the practice including; SBEM, and SAP sofware for assessment of the carbon footprint and NBS publishing. Practitioner Philosophy: To deliver perfection within the limits of human capability using the Manchester Economic System.
At an ethical level the practice provides support to select charities and institutions involved with providing homes for people who would not normally receive architect's professional advice. Environmental policy: The principle policy is to place people in harmony with nature and the environment by providing only what is needed for this purpose.
